Little Twin Stars Kiki & Lara

Congrats on your 10th debut anniversary, Kanon!

I had so much fun at the event we did together last time.

Let’s go to Puroland together and have a blast again.

Congratulations on your 10th debut anniversary!

I love the colorful fictional universe you created with pop music.

You are incredibly witty and unbelievably charming—and I absolutely love you for being who you are, Kanon!

I hope that we would continue to be friends and grow our friendship.

ASCA

10th debut anniversary, congratulations!

In such a memorable year, I was honored to have a lot of opportunities—such as having a two-person live and being involved in composing songs—to contribute to your music and make music with you, whom I have the utmost respect for.

As a big fan of yours, I’m looking forward to seeing how you’ll express yourself through music next year and listening to the music that nobody but you can make in my 11th year as a fan.

While I still like you when you put on a cool smile in your doll-like face in order to keep your passion and suffering in secret, I think I like you the most when you are talking about the things you like or when you are having a blast at live shows!

I also like the fact that we can be ourselves without a care in the world when we spend time together as friends.

I think we’ve spent a lot of times together since we became friends five years ago.

And friends you make after you’ve become an adult are very valuable, right?

I’m sure we’ll be able to share a lot more thoughts and feelings together in the future.

Above all, I’m a big fan of Wakeshima Kanon, so I would love to continue the joy of supporting the music and art you make by your side. ❤

Congratulations on your 10th debut anniversary! I love you! Looking forward to seeing what’s to come!

Kanon, congratulations on your 10th debut anniversary!

You’ve been doing it for 10 years!! That’s really amazing.

Never giving up and keep going is the most difficult but also the most amazing thing in life.

You are a so-called ‘genius’ and you are gifted with natural-born musical talent.

I often listen to the songs you wrote and use them as a reference.

Your songs are very unique and they have such elegant, feminine and charming atmosphere.

Please continue on with your career and don’t ever stop making music.

I’ve got your back and I’m always here to support you and your music.

And please go to Disney with me. It’s about time.

I can’t wait anymore.

KIHOW (Myth&roid)

Congratulations on your 10th debut anniversary, Kanon.

The ten-year mark is still so far away in my head and it’s something that I can’t even imagine. I’ve always admired you since the first time I’ve met you because I’ve felt the warmth from the daily conversation I had with you, and from the music you made and the shows you produced. I think that’s the greatest strength you have.

Please continue to show and teach us a lot from this point onward.

Wish you all the best for your continued success.

AI Kakuma

Kanon!

Congratulations on your 10th debut anniversary!

I’ve had the opportunity to listen to your music for the first time through the anime Selector. I felt exhilarated when I first heard the opening “killy killy JOKER” and I’ve felt all kinds of feelings that I had never felt before―it was a very special moment in my life.

Also, the sight of you playing the big cello as if it’s part of your body and mesmerizing everyone in the assembly hall makes me tear up every time I see it on LINE.

But then, you always ramble when you talk―it’s so cute and funny. Wait, what? But then, the costumes and the fictional universe you design are also very cute. Wait, what? And your drawings are also amazing. Wait, what? I can’t take my eyes off of you. I can’t get your song out of my head because of your voice and your music. I keep saying how much I love you and your music right now, but I can’t stop and won’t stop loving you and your music.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new Wakeshima Kanon from now on too!

Sachika Misawa

I met with Wakeshima for the first time when I’ve asked her to write lyrics on my debut song “Unite”. She came to see me and listened to me while taking notes about my personality and my lifestyle and so on. Thanks to that, I think I was able to make a perfect song that represented who I am as a person. After that, I’ve asked her to write lyrics again on the follow-up song called “Around”. I’ve put all the feelings of pain and joy I’ve gone through over a few years after releasing “United” into that song. This is one of my favorite songs, too.

At the first glance from the melody, Wakeshima’s view on the world is very optimistic, beautiful and lovely. But there are moments you can’t help but to be taken aback because the wordplays of the lyrics reveal our dark side and ask thought-provoking questions. I absolutely love that.

While she has the face of a dreamy girl up on the stage, I always get overwhelmed by the wide range of her ways of expressing feelings through music when she put on the I-know-it-all adult face.

I am happy that Wakeshima is celebrating her 10th anniversary and I hope she will continue to make music that she wants to make.

Tsuki Amano

Congratulations on your 10th debut anniversary!

She breathes ever-so-deeply and flies around lightly in her music. And at the same time, she immerses herself into her music where she forgets to breathe sometimes. I think Kanon is a person who has these two outstanding aspects when it comes to music.

Kanon, I really really like your genuine personality which slowly but surely draws people around you to like you.

I hope you will continue to remain a free-spirited artist who isn’t molded into only being a singer-songwriter.

Sugarbeans

Congratulations on your 10th debut anniversary!

I have been getting help from you since 2011. I thought the more I try to grasp and manage you, the more you got away at that time. And I think it is marvelous how that hasn’t changed even now.

Though it’s a bit early to say, I am curious to know what kind of music and art you’ll make when you’ve become a grandma. So please continue and keep going. I’ll live long to see that day too.

Well then, see you later.

SHO HORISAKI

Congratulations on your 10th debut anniversary!

How are things, Ms. White Falcon?

I am looking forward to seeing what you’ll make in your 11th year and many more years afterwards.

Wish you all the best.

TOKIMITSU Shinichirou

Congratulations on your 10th debut anniversary!

The first time we performed together was back in 2011? If that’s the case, we’ve known each other for about seven years now.

Thanks to that, I’ve made you perform in various places―even Canada when I knew you didn’t like to go abroad to perform in foreign countries. Haha, I guess your preference of not going abroad hasn’t changed that much.

Please keep up the good work in keeping “Kanon-ism” alive through your original style.

Let’s go get it again!

Kanon,

Congratulations on your 10th debut anniversary!

I am grateful for the wonderful feels and experiences you provide through your music, Kanon. Thank you.

And I am always and always thankful for you to put up with me when I am being inconsiderate.

I’m looking forward to seeing your one-and-only kind of music to be shared by many in the future.

Yokota Hiroyuki

Congratulations on your 10th debut anniversary!

I’ve worked with you for the first time in 7th Floor for the 3rd concert LIVE, “The Strange Treat!”.

I have been following your music and sincerely respect how your music continues to fascinate so many people.

Performance and cuteness may capture the eyes of the audience at first, but I think it’s the music you make that is absolutely outstanding.

Please continue to write many cool songs and expand the world of Wakeshima Kanon.

I’m looking forward to performing with you again.

Kato Takehi (Representative of Theatre Company GAIA_crew)

Wakeshima Kanon is a very unusual artist.

Though she isn’t confident, she is a pure-hearted person who is seeking approval and sheds tears when her fans show love and support. When she plays the cello, the music can be both intense and fluffy. She is like a kaleidoscope―I really want to see and explore her infinitely imaginative heart and spirit through her music more, going forward from this 10th anniversary.

As a creator myself, I am sending Kanon flowers with love, as a token of appreciation

Atsuki Suzumiya (RAB)

Wakeshima Kanon!

Congratulations on your 10th debut anniversary. Although we, Real Akiba Boys, still have a long way to go, I understand and I can relate to you as we have celebrated our 10th-anniversary last year!

Personally, I absolutely love the ending song “RIGHT LIGHT RISE” in the anime “Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?”

Looking forward to working with you again on stage or in events if there’s an opportunity!

DRAGON (RAB)

Congratulations on your 10th debut anniversary.

It’s Dragon from Real Akiba Boys

I’ve always loved how cool and beautiful you are on stage―and how cute you are when you talk.

It’s your 10th year anniversary. Don’t you think 10 years have flown by in just a split of a second? But I’m sure you’ve met a lot of people and experience a lot of things during those 10 years.

Please continue to be yourself, the “Stage Queen” that you are, and perform on stage in the next 20, 30 years and many more years afterwards.

Looking forward to working with you again if there’s an opportunity!

KEITAN (RAB)

Wake-san! Congratulations on your 10th debut anniversary!

Thank you for being kind and being a good friend to me.

I’ve been always asking for help from you, so I am ashamed and embarrassed. I’ll try my best to be able to be getting up on the same stage with you and work with you again!

MARON (RAB)

Congratulations on your 10th debut anniversary.

I remember getting goosebumps when I’ve listened to your song “Love your enemies” live.

I am secretly dreaming that one day we could do a collaboration on making a doujinshi together since you are also really good at drawing.

Please continue to do your best and wish you all the best.

Muratomi (RAB)

Congratulations on your 10th debut anniversary.

I am sorry that I have made you feel bad by talking gibberish to you the first time I’ve met you. You were so pretty like a princess so I felt really nervous. But I’d like to talk to you and perhaps perform on stage with you again.

When I co-starred at the event hosted by ADF, I watched your stage and thought to myself “Wow, Kanon is truly amazing”. Also life is long so please take care of yourself in order to keep going with your career. I am not really good at that either so I will do my best to do the same.

I am digressing a little but the other day, I realized flowers which didn’t seem like they were going to bloom anytime soon, have finally bloomed. I thought it was important to water the flowers and let the sun shine down on them. Like flowers, it takes time for people to bloom too. And finally, at the age of thirty-four, I feel like I am finally blooming after pursuing dance as a career.

naotyu.jpg

Naoki “naotyu-” Chiba

Congratulations on your 10th debut anniversary!

It was my honor to make a lot of songs with you, and each and every time I was happy and excited to work with you and gain new experiences.

Trying out an unconventional arrangement in “Foul Play ni Kurari”, stressing over releasing “killy killy JOKER” to the world, collaborating with many talented musicians to make “Tsukinami” and working on other songs and so on― it really feels like they all happened yesterday.

And as a lyricist and music composer, I’ve had numerous opportunities to work with you to make music for other musicians.

And those times, you made me think ‘Wow, she’s amazing” with the sharp insight you provided when working with other musicians for their music. And you often threw a wordplay that made everyone laugh. So I enjoyed working with you for other musicians.

And most recently, we have co-created anime soundtracks in “As Miss Beelzebub Likes”

It was your first time making anime soundtracks, so it was challenging. But I think we were able to make meaningful and marvelous soundtracks in the end, all thanks to your melodies and ideas.

Looking forward to working with you again on some of the challenging-but-worthwhile projects in the future.

Takashi Yoshiba

Kanon, debut 10th year anniversary!

Very Very Congratulations!

I have known you since “RIGHT LIGHT RISE” and I am confident to say I’ve seen mysterious, serious and stoic aspects of you quite clearly. There was a time when you had to record even though you’ve caught a terrible cold and could not stop coughing. But the vocal recording you manage to finish in between coughs was so wonderful and I remember I was awestruck by you.  So kudos to you for your professionalism! And I bet nobody will ever find out which song that was.

I don't intend to put any pressure on you because it's nothing but my personal wish―but from now on, please remember to take care of yourself as much as you care about your work!

Looking forward to making music with you again!

Takahiro Furukawa

Congratulations on your 10th year of debut.

I think it was about 3 years ago when I’ve worked with you for the first time. After that, I realized I have been working with you a lot whether that was working together on game music, anime soundtracks or my own music.

Nowadays, we just brag about the cat we each raise to one another. Wait… is that true? I think it might be true.

Jokes aside, while I have been involved in making music with you, I am always fascinated by the music you make as an artist, songwriter, and composer.

I still remember what you said back then during the vocal recording of “Kimi wa Soleil” which I was arranging for the first time for you. You were going in and out of the recording booth many times to communicate and said, “The one that I just sang was good overall, but there were some parts I don’t think were not good nor was I satisfied with”. So back then, I thought to myself, “She’s a kind of person who can cherish what matters more than just the overall quality of music. I was very impressed back then.

There is no doubt that Wakeshima Kanon is a good musician and I am very happy that I’ve met her. I am looking forward to the wonderful music she’ll make for another 10 years. And it would be great if we could work together again.

HANAE

Whenever I experience Kanon's work, I think it is appropriate to call her an artist.

The heavens might have given her two, three or more talents. It's as if she was given a life destined to produce art. I keep getting mesmerized by her sincerity, which transmits the destiny she's tied to and the complications bound to it, shown to us in the form of beautiful art.

Congratulations on your 10th anniversary!

I am happy from the bottom of my heart when I imagine such a beloved artist continuing to perform for a long time. I hope we can work together again sometime!♡
